JULY 1ST -  our picnic is being held at the United Church, in place of our July meeting, and will be from 12 noon till 4PM. Bring your own picnic lunch, (this is not a pot luck ) , celebrate with friends and stay for games and a euchre (bid and reg ) tournament. Euchre tournament will be $5.00 entrance with 1st and 2nd place prize winners for both regular and bid. There will be Mexican Train and board games available inside, plus a variety of games outdoors weather permitting.

 

Please feel free to attend even if you didn’t sign up.

 

Tickets for Kings Wharf will be handed out at the picnic. Please see Lynn!

 

As our Pig & Corn roast is being subsidised instead of the picnic, we wanted to still have an event in July in place of the meeting

JULY 22nd - Tuesday - Kings Wharf Theater to see The Beehive, tickets are $55.00 payable at sign up. Final payment will be the June meeting. Going to make reservations for Yang’s Chinese restaurant for something different, right on main street in Penetang.

** Please let us know if you will be going to dinner after the theatre **

 

For those wishing to carpool and/or travel to Penetang as a group, we will meet at the Arena on the EAST side at 12:30 to leave by 12:45.

August 9th -  Saturday – 6PM - Sunset Concert Cruise out of Penetang with Dylan Lock. Cost  is $75.00 incl a $5.00 gratuity, but more may be left at the cruise if you wish. Please arrive at least 15 – 20 minutes prior to boarding.

Cruise aboard the Georgian Legacy on the beautiful Georgian Bay! Ticket includes: 3 Hour Concert, 3 Hour Cruise & Food. (Pizza, Dinos Famous Pasta Salad, Garden Salad, Veggies, Chips).

 August 14th – Pig & Corn Roast. Held at Brian and Kathy Curries.

**THIS IS BEING SUBSIDISED THIS YEAR INSTEAD OF THE PICNIC! **

We are trying to add some variety of salads instead of just purchasing the store bought ones, so we are asking the ladies (or gentlemen too) to get together and make some great salads and desserts!  Donna Durham ( 1-902-221-2692) will be organizing the list so please advise her of what you or your group are bringing. I suggest your salad or dessert be enough for about 10-15 people if you are making an individual one so we don’t have a lot of left overs. We will also need buns and butter.

We are asking for you to bring your own drinks, plates and cutlery.   Napkins will be supplied.

 

September 2ND  – Our September speaker will be from the Collingwood Museum, so plans are in the works to have a group lunch for those interested then go to the Museum to do a self guided tour.

 

 Lots of great things in the works.  PLUS !! MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!!  Christmas party will be Dec 6th at the United Church again. We will be doing Roast Beef this year!!
